Kaya–Iloilo Clinches Third Straight Philippines Football League Title
Kaya–Iloilo has secured its third consecutive championship in the Philippines Football League (PFL) following a decisive victory over Stallion Laguna on April 13, 2025. This win not only solidifies their dominance in the league but also earns them a spot in the upcoming Champions League Two.
Throughout the 2024–25 season, Kaya–Iloilo demonstrated exceptional performance, achieving an eight-match winning streak and remaining unbeaten for nine games. Their offensive strength was evident in their 9–1 triumph over Mendiola 1991, marking the season's highest-scoring match. Striker Saikou Ceesay led the league with 16 goals, playing a pivotal role in the team's success.
The season also highlighted the emergence of Manila Digger, who secured qualification for the Champions League Two. Conversely, Mendiola 1991 faced challenges, ending the season with an 11-match winless streak.
The PFL's seventh season featured ten teams competing from September 28, 2024, to April 13, 2025, culminating in a total of 90 matches and 307 goals scored. Kaya–Iloilo's consistent excellence underscores their status as a formidable force in Philippine football.
