In the mixed doubles event, the duo of Marc Pfister and Kathleen Dubberstein delivered an impressive performance. Following this, they secured wins over Kyrgyzstan and Qatar, ensuring their progression to the qualification playoffs. In the semifinals, the pair faced Japan but were unable to advance to the finals. Competing for the bronze medal, they had a rematch against China. However, the Chinese team mounted a comeback, ultimately edging out the Philippines with a narrow 6–5 victory, resulting in a fourth-place finish for Pfister and Dubberstein.
